to fix this do a hard reset by holding down the power button on the console for 5-10 secs, or simply unplug the Xbox. This will make the system clear the cache and will put it back to normal speed.

It doesnt clear the cache,  as of right know the default power mode Instant-On which never lets the system fully shut down and only goes into a stanby mode seems to cause this overtime.   There seems to be some kinda problem with the X1 not clearing out the ram when turning on from standby mode.   If you switch it to energy saving it will allow the system to do a full shutdown when you turn it off.  However the startup time of the console is like 1 min if you use energy saving.

Technically Xenokai is correct, it is the RAM that is being cleared, after so long with the 360 I was just used to calling it clearing the cache. Thank you for the correction. Either way her issue was solved and that's what matters. Will do better at remembering the change from Cache to RAM. Again thank you.
