This may be caused due to several different issues, they are listed below:
• Not having a current Gold Membership - If you are positive you have a gold membership, please try and test your network connection again.
• Being on a Child Account - This is caused by the inputted age you stated while creating an account.
• Being on a Family plan - Have the primary Xbox user look into your Online Safety and Parental Security settings.
• Having insufficient Online Safety Settings - These settings can be changed by going to My Xbox tab, selecting your avatar tile, and scrolling to the third tile. Make the settings found under this tile are set appropriately. If you can't access these settings
(Password Required), you're on a child account and will need the primary Xbox user to assist you.
