If you receive a console ban, you can use your hard drive on an unmodified console as stated in the following support article.

You can, but your content might appear as corrupt.

One thing to know is that a banned console loses the ability to create "signed" content that other consoles can read. This means that the copy of your profile on the HDD is invalid/ "corrupt", and will need to be recovered from Xbox Live when you attach the HDD to another console. Also, any game saves that you've used after the console was banned will be seen as "corrupt" by other consoles and will need to be deleted. (I think, but don't know because I haven't experienced it, that untouched saved games will be OK. Just don't launch any games whose saves you plan to use on another console.)

that is correct Danno.  Untouched games will be fine.

This only affects your profile and save games.  The actual games themselves won't be corrupted.

Looks like someone called Mister Gwyther is going round cleaning up all forms of democratic protest from paying end users. Before he gets to this thread I would just like to convey my deep revulsion for his mindless acts.

Thanks for the call-out Blue, but this thread is good to go. I'm simply locking the massive influx of ban-related posts. Since there isn't anyone in these forums that can provide information regarding these bans, and they will undoubtedly devolve into foul language and wildly un-based accusations, I feel it is in the best interest of this forum to lock them.
