Help!!!! Im having troubles with the hard drive transfer cable...

I just bought a star wars xbox console and i am tryin to transfer my 20Gb hard drive over, when i plug the tranfer cable into the console it wont even acknowledge that the cable is in. Ive done everything step by step on the web site, i can hear the cable buzzing with the 20 Gb plugged in at the other end ive plugged it in to every usb port and still nothing ive even taken the cable back to where i bought it to see if it was faulty. It is a genuine xbox cable and the usb ports work ive plugged other things in and they work. Even with this new cable it still wont acknowledge it at all and i get no message. Its seems so simple but its not workin and ive tried everything many times

I am doin something wrong or what??... im so frustrated

I had the same problem with my star wars console. I eventually just removed the internal hdd and connected to my old 360 and transferred from it to the new hdd.

I have a similar experience and what I found was that the USB ports were very touchy on my XBOX and I had to wiggle it around some to get it to work correctly. If IceStorm's suggestions don't work, try wiggling the cable and be patient. Good luck.

Unplug the cable from the 360 and the 20GB drive from the cable.

Plug the cable into one of the rear USB ports.

Wait 15 seconds.

Plug the 20GB HDD into the cable.

Wait 30 seconds.

See if that works.
