Help I can't download my other account!

Whenever I try to recover an account on my Xbox, it always gets stuck like 1/5 of the way. I know it's not frozen though because the loading wheel is spinning, I have waited thirty minutes to see if it would move at all and it did not. I have tried deleting my cache, clearing some hdd space, and waiting, but nothing has worked. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or have any advice and what to do next?

I would recommened downloading your profile to a USB Flash Drive instead of your hard drive. Or another Xbox Hard Drive if you have one.

Hi there, DFhC ViZiON.

I suggest, if you have access to another console (a friends maybe), that you download it from there. All you need is your email and password assigned to that account. On the following link, it will show and explain methods on both how to download your profile, and using a USB Flash drive device.

Hope this helped,

Kind Regards,

The suggestion for another storage device is sometimes it can be something going funky with a harddrive. If it was on this harddrive before, you might want to check and see if there are any remnents or corrupted data under the profile section. If there is, delete that (profile only), clear cache and give it a whirl again. If you've already checked for corrupted, good on you.

If its not storage, it may be a connectivity thing. If at all possible, try directly connecting to your modem and see if that helps.

I don't have any friends nearby that have an xbox, is there a way for me to download it onto my computer or something?

Also, do you have any other things I can try to use?

Also I have deleted a corrupted profile and ones I don't need anymore, and my Xbox is hooked up directly to our router.

I am going to restart my modem and router right now to see if that will fix anything.

If you do a network restart, turn on your console off, turn your router off, turn your modem off. Leave your modem off for 2-5 minutes, then turn JUST the modem on. After that's booted up all the way, then turn on your router. Make sure you have internet, then turn on your console.

The xbox gets... finicky if you don't powercycle in just the right way.
