HELP DISK SPINS WHILE I EJECT IT!

Ok so about 8 months ago I had to get a new copy of Black Ops 1, it solved my frame and glitch issue but it caused it to spin discs while they eject. The discs are still in good shape with just the usual light surface scratches that you get from using them. I got the Black Ops resurfaced but the problem continued, it even happens with new unscratched discs! I have tried the dashboard to no prevail. My 360 is a two year old slim 4 GB model, i added a 320 GB harddrive later. I have heard that it is not a problem, but i have also heard that it is a problem! I'm baffled, please help me!

P.S. I brought it to a console repair shop and the man who owns it said that it is good as long as it still reads the disc, he has been repairing consoles since the mid 90's. I trust him but when he ejected a disc in his shop it ejected properly!

Hi Berretta! Your Xbox 360 is not performing as it should. But, since it seems to not be causing any troubles, it is up to you. You could submit your Xbox 360 for Repair , or you could let it be.

Cheers!

It is absolutely a hardware issue. As stated above, its up to you, but I would recommend submitting a repair.

are you ejecting the disc while playing the game or while at the game's main menu or is the disc spinning happenes while you are on the 360 dashboard?

I've only had my disc spin while ejecting if I am pressing the button while the game is still running. If the game is stuck on a loading screen and I eject, it opens up while spinning. This has never happened while on the dashboard and then opening tray.

Then again, each time you hit the dashboard, your disc will spin since it reads the game and tells you what is in the tray.

if you have a warranty on it then you might as well send it in so that you have your console in top performing order as Microsoft would want for its customers.

Hey BERRETTA97,

Long time no see!

As Real Wreckage has suggested, a repair may be the next best step.

Let us know how that goes, or if you have anymore questions.

Two more questions before I get my console repaired, Is this scratching my discs? Is this something that must be repaired right away?

Hi BERRETTA,

I am not sure if it is scratching your disc. Are your discs scratched?

As for an immediate repair, that is up to you. If your discs are not getting scratched, a repair does not sound super urgent.
