Headset/Mic Not Working Properly

I started using Xbox to Windows streaming as soon as I got Windows 10. I works fine for the most part. My only issue is my mic. I have the standard mic that comes with the Xbox One. When I plugged it into my controller to talk in game/party chat, it started playing the game sounds through the mic. I don't want this at all. The sounds quality is pretty bad and it makes it a bit harder to hear when I'm talking to someone. How do I change it to use my computer's speakers when I have my mic plugged into my controller?

If you set your speakers as the default playback device the sound will go through them instead. However so will the audio from party chat I believe

You can change your default playback device by following these steps
Open Control Panel, select Hardware and Sound, and then select Manage Audio Devices/Sound from there select your speaker and click on set default.

You can open control panel by using Windows key+r this will open the run command and then just type in "control" and hit enter

Did this solve your problem?
