headset problem

Recently i bought an xbox 360 bundle and it came with a headset.

I noticed it was in two pieces i originally thought i had to put it together but then i noticed it was broken where it would loop around your head.

So i looked up how to get it working and no luck at all. I plug in the headset and i dont see no "headphone icon" and i dont hear any sound what so ever.

SO is it broke or just user error some how?

Hello vansokc 1990 , your headset without a doubt should not be in two pieces. Your best bet is to contact official Xbox Support at 1-800-4-My-Xbox and see if they can ship you a replacement. If your console is out of warranty, you'll likely be on the line for buying a new one, but if you just bought it like you said, it should be covered, as long as you tell them it came that way out of the box.
