HDMI/Turtle Beach set-up issue

I'm sure it's a problem that many have had but none of the fixes online make any sense to me.

Basically, I have Turtle Beach X11's and when I plug them into the back of my console on the cover of the wire, there's a little plastic bit that prevents the HDMI cable going in.

I've seen several people online snap the plastic off of the plug bit but I don't really want to do that.

I've been told to order this; http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004E27QL6/ref=oss_product

But i'm not sure if it's the correct item I require to fix this. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.

We do not recommend modifying the cable, as it's against the Terms of Use. Use of an official adapter like the one you show is the recommended way to accommodate this type of setup.
