Hdmi pc screen sound options

I recently bought a samsung LED screen for my pc, It has a HDMI slot on the back, I connect my newest model black xbox via HDMI and get a great picture, But i have no sound as my LED screen has no speakers, Is there any way i can hook something up to the xbox to recieve sound, Ive tried a optical out cable to a sound blaster creative box, But got no sound, I also tried a Av and HDMI cable at the same time, But just get a black screen and no sound, Has anybody got any solution to my problem, Thanks,

You can use the Optical Out to an optical In device - but I do not think the Sound Blaster device is an Input device. Do you have a model number on the sound blaster item, I could not find anything on creative box.

You can use a 3.5mm jack to the sound blaster it should have a Green slot for audio in, the output for the 3.5mm jack should be on the back of the monitor.

Or you could get a set of headphones with optical input Turtle beach etc..

Also Here is how to use optical input on the sound blaster device.

Is there another input device you could try to see if the sound is coming out.

Found some info on that SB0270 and it does have inputs, have you tried any other devices in the inputs?

And just want to make sure the output and is it working properly?

Also in the SB software is it showing any Gain, or fluctuating bars, on the inputs?

Kinda like when you do a Mic check and you see it is receiving the sound graph.
