HDMI only works on one TV - handshake problem?

Ok, I am having the exact same problem that is discussed in this thread http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/7/p/375239/1924273.aspx This xbox and HDMI work fine on one television but doesn't get any picture or sound on any other display. I've tried cables that work with other systems, and hooked up other system to this tv with no problems. So the issue seems to definitely be that this xbox will only display through HDMI on one tv. I've tried resetting the display settings by holding Y+RT, changing the resolution blindly, and changing the resolution while hooked up via component. Nothing worked. I've tried to blindly turn on display discovery but nothing happened (I tried this many times). I hotswapped the HDMI in hopes of forcing a handshake. Nothing. This seems to be a known problem, but I cannot dind a solution. Please help.

Hmm, what the heck.  Am I reading right that not even the component cables would display on that TV?  I'm guessing also that other HDMI devices do work with the TV (I wouldn't expect you here if you haven't checked that, but I gotta ask.)  What make and model TV is it?  We can do some digging around their support documentation too.

Component works fine, I used that to change the resolution in the hopes that that would do the trick.  And yes, other systems work fine with the same cable and in the same HDMI slots.  It's not the tv because we've tried the system on two other tvs and a monitor.  It doesn't work on any of them while other systems do.  For some this particular xbox just wants to send an HDMI signal to one particular tv.

Well like I said, I have tried it on multiple displays.  There was a Hanns G monitor, a Samsung Plasma, and a Panasonic Viera.  I don't know specific model numbers, sorry.

Hey there mikey! Have you hooked the console up to the TV that it did work on since trying it on the non-working TV? (Meaning it worked on TV A but not on TV B, have you since hooked the console back up to TV A to make sure it's still working?) I'm asking that because I'm wondering if the HDMI port on your console doesn't work at all anymore. Also, do you get sound via HDMI on TV B (the non-working one)?

Yes, it still works on TV A.  And no, there was no sound on TV B.
