HDMI looks like utter trash. I think it's the TV settings.

I've got a Samsung LCD and I haven't gotten a clue as to which settings to have it on. I've tried googling it, but I couldn't find anything conclusive.

Halp!

What's the model number of your TV?

LE40C755R2WXXE

Try changing the 360's hdmi color spacing options to : RGB. for starters and see if that helps and then go from there...

have you changed any settings before you posted here?the defaul;t settings should be noticeably better than regular tv.

There's a site I like to check called TweakTV, their URL is here:

You can search for your TV model and more often than not you'll find really good calibration settings.  It's not as good as having a pro come over and calibrate your TV for you, but it'll get you most of the way there.

Hope that helps.

VGA cables are still the best. Most TV's these days do so much video processing over HDMI that you will never get the settings right besides the poor lag. Plug VGA cables into your samsung and switch it to PC and you will notice that all your settings will be greyed out except for brightness (35-50 depending on the room light), contrast (100) and color (45). And it will look perfect.

Nice link.  When i first got my TV.  I thought artifacting was just a part of the TV.  After professional recalibration, my rating for my TV went up 2 points easy.
