HDD for xbox 360 arcade

hey everyone, about 3 years ago, i got an xbox 360 arcade, and i am really in need for some extra storage, but i was an hard-drive this time, i've been looking on the web, but all the results i get are confusing, and i've been looking on the xbox site itself it shows only 1 type of hard drive a 250G one, but a friend of mine bought a 20g one a while ago wich he has to mount on top of his xbox ( i got a litle piece of plastic i can lift off and that shows a port just like the one in the link )

so if any of could explain this to me, and/or advice me what the smallest/cheapest hard drive is that i can use with my old xbox 360 arcade that would be awesome

(sorry for the insane long link)

You will need to make sure to get a hard drive for the old style 'fat' consoles.

You can pick a 20gb hard drive up from Amazon for £21.95 LINK and an old style 250gb hard drive for £61.50 LINK. There are also a 60gb and a 120gb size hard drives available for the 'fat' 360s. In all honesty I recommend getting the 250gb hard drive, as 20gb can be filled up very easily once you discover the Xbox Live marketplace.

You are now also able to use USB sticks as 360 memory, up to a size of 16gb. So that may be an option for you.

Here is a link to the Microsoft support page on storage for the 360, which covers things much more clearly than I http://support.xbox.com/en-gb/pages/xbox-360/how-to/storage.aspx

Not sure where in the world you are, so I apologies if these haven't been local to you.

Please don't bump 4 year old threads. Also, you can use an external hard drive up to 2TB.
