HD VGA Cable problem

I am having trouble connecting my 360 to my HD TV with a HD VGA cable. I can get video but no audio. I have tried the following:

1.  Tried all red and white ports on my TV.

2.  Tried a different cable.

3.  Tried it on another TV (picture but no sound)

I can't use HDMI as I only have one HDMI port on the TV and I don't want to keep changing cables. The TV is a Samsung and it is compatible with the HD VGA cable. I have tried to change the audio options on the Xbox settings but still no sound. Can anybody suggest a solution please?

On your Samsung HDTV, there should be a headphone socket next to the VGA connector.  What you need is a 2 Phono to 3.5mm Stereo Adaptor.  Like this one from Maplin.  You attach the left and right Phono leads to the adapter and then the adapter goes into the headphone socket, then you'll have sound.

Hope that helps.
