Having the same problem as on 4/13/2013

I'm getting the service alerts message when I go to test xbox live connection, in the Service: and Xbox Stores: categories, I was signed in fine when I booted it up after I got back from the store about 20 minutes ago, I went to play black ops 2 and couldn't connect to the servers, so I go and test the live connection to make sure everything is working and got the service alerts junk. so I'm assuming its something out of my control, I'm very computer literate and as far as I see there are no issues on our end. I'm hoping you guys will just release a system update to patch any of the bugs that are interrupting the service.

The Xbox support team is currently working on resolving the issues with Xbox Live connection, the workaround to connect now is to select "Test connection" then select "Test Xbox Live Connection" after  that you the connection to Xbox Live should work, if you restart your Xbox 360 you might need to run the connection test again, hope that this info help.
