Hard Disk Drive Format (Can't Perform Action)

Hi,

I'm trying to connect a hard disk drive to my xbox 4gb for the last two days.I tried connecting an ipod 160 gb and my Samsung S2 320gb external HDD. I changed the driver format to FAT32 in both devices and tried almost everything but all I get is the "Cant Perform Action - There was a problem performing that action" error after I try to configure it as a storage. I also tried to clear the system cache but it only says clearing for a second and nothing happens. Its really frustrating please help me as soon as possible.

thank you

I suspect there is a power issue. The newer consoles seem to provide less power than the older models. Try the rear USB ports?

Try and connect both of those devices to your computer, right click and format the device with the first settings and then reconnect to your xbox. Then it should work with the format, if not message me.
