Hey there DJDJ,

Really sorry to hear you've been having issues with your HDMI cable.

Just so that we're on the same page, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

  1. Swapping the heads of the HDMI cable
  2. Different HDMI ports on your TV
  3. Tried your console on a different TV
  4. Tried a different console on your TV
  5. Remove any devices between the console and TV
  6. Any further steps?

With your component cables, is the image in HD?

Please let us know and we'll work from there.

Hello administrators.

What is the update on this matter? Has the software on the Xbox been fixed? I have not used or played any games on my console since Dec 2013. Going on half a year here. Please update with solution. Not a referral to customer support.

Thank you.

Hey there OzayOzay :)

You say you haven't used your system to play games since last year, can you please confirm that you have updated the console with the latest system update (which will automatically push to your console when you connect to Xbox LIVE if one is available) and let us know if you are still experiencing problems? If you are unable to use the console at all to receive any system updates, just skip the above step and report back to us with as much information as possible.

When posting back, can you please create your own thread. Users are encouraged to create their own threads so that the focus of support can be directed at the threads author.

Also, when you create your own thread, can you let us know if you have tried the solutions that Mister Fizzle has posted above.

Many thanks,

Cloud
