Had to turn off Kinect Signin

My wife and I were watching a movie last night and every time a child walked into the room it would sign him in and then kick us out of the movie.

I think the Kinect signin thing is cool but if wreaks havoc on anything you're watching because it detects the kid and automatically signs him in.

Is there any solution to this?

I've actually turned off the Sign In feature for the kids so they can't interfere with our other stuff.  Other than that, you would need to increase their limitations in the Privacy & Security section of Settings.

Yeah, I assumed as much but it's a very odd feature for someone to be able to "hijack" control of the system in the middle of a movie.  I'm not precisely certain what the value of Kinect signin is for a family.

The issue isn't exactly the Hijacking of the system.  It's the fact that when a child is signed in their restrictions are what is kicking you out.

Kind of annoying but at least it's fixable.

Best way to prevent that, is turn kinect auto sign in off. It causes too many problems if there is more than 2 players in household. Also if you want help your child in future, until kinect sign in is ON, you cannot do that. Because everytime you take controller profile will be switched automatically and previous player game will be stopped. Tested everything with my family, and only one solution works fine:
1. Kinect sign in OFF
2. Also if you quit using Xbox One sign off, and other players sign in.

I have not had any adverse affects from the auto sign in. If I'm playing a game and one of my kids or wife walks in it just signs them in and that is it. No dropped games or apps. I could see how this might have an adverse affect if the child account has restrictions however I have not had any issues.

I had that happen once when I first hooked up.  All I did was raise the restrictions for my kids and that stopped the problem.
