Hacked and been almost 2 months with no resolution...

Well I got hacked on 9/22/11, I called the day it happened, my account got transfered to Brazil and I suddenly bought 4000 MS points all while sitting in my work truck about 2 hours from my xbox.  Awesome...  

25 days passed, still no working account and still given the run around by XBL...  Told they are working on it and its been escalated..  How hard is it to transfer back an account and credit back the credit card charged for the points, clearly they can see that my account got hacked, clearly they can see my card got charged... Reverse it already...  Enough is enough..

Have you disputed the charges with your credit card company?  That could help and it takes Microsoft out of the loop.

No, I was hoping to get both the charges reversed as MS said they would be handling that as well as getting my account back. but i guess thats a lost cause judging by how many are being affected in the same way...  Seems MS has a leak and wont admit it.

I would not trust MS to do this.  They are deliberately taking a period of time that coincidentally comes extremely close to the cut off period some card companies have for disputing charges.  Call your card company now and get them on your side, just in case 5 months from now MS arbitrarily decides your claim was bogus and won't reverse the charges.

Still sitting on this, called again and was told they have no updates and no idea when...  Go figure, im to the point now of just using my new name and forgetting the old one, but I put money I wont get my live access back for the 10 months I sitll havent used it.,..

DO NOT LET XBOX SUPPORT HANDLE THE REFUND!!!!

I cannot stress this enough. Once you have your investigation number, call your bank and have it disputed. You are not a valued customer to Microsoft, no matter how much they will tell you that you are.

I too, was reassured that I would be refunded the amount that was fraudulently charged to my account, and I wouldn't be posting this warning to you if they did refund me.

My investigation has been pending for >100 days, I was finally fed up with waiting, so I called my bank... you'd be surprised at how fast they refunded those charges.

OP, I definitely recommend contacting your bank to shut down payments to your account ASAP.

Well filed a complaint with the BBB today, also contacting my bank about a refund for my year of access that was denied to me (being that I paid in August for the year and it was taken from me in September less than 30 days of use.  Also telling them I want the refund for the points.

Next up is the Attorney General for Identity theft.

I have an email address of the f*cking hacker.. thats it... im sure if hte bank wanted to dig deaper they could get that info.

Well just got off the phone with support again, re-escalated the account, explained im not after my account anymore just the refunds applied to my new account, and that I filed with both the bbb and Attorney generals office, was told a "wellness manager" will be contacting me, I bet that wont happen, just an FYI they also said all you "forum ambassadors and support" don't know crap.. Their words not mine.. GO figure.
