GREEN SCREEN OF DEATH TO NO SCREEN -DOA

System was stuck on the GREEN XBOX ONE - Hung for 10 minutes and then went to nothing.  I rebooted a couple times same thing, now I turn on and screen is just black!

Not happy, not happy..... No support line to call and the chat is 2 hour wait.  They should have had support for Day One and staffed well.

Same deal here…The 2+ hour wait is unacceptable for launch day.  When I started my chat wait it was 180 minutes.  Dropped down to 55 minutes then back up to 90 after an hour and a half.  It's a joke.  I want a full refund for system and games.  I will not be supporting this company any longer.

I took my system back to the store and got a replacement. My issue was near the same as yours. Did you guys connect the power supply before you hooked everything up?

Same problem here guys, I filed for a replacement earlier.

I have read that Microsoft are working on a fix so it may not come to that. I was thinking, did anybody see the Day One patch download page MS put up yesterday. One was a patch and the other was a firmware file. I am hoping that file will boot from an external and possibly format the xbox hdd for a clean install and fix everything.

It was suspicious how they pulled the page so quickly.

They pulled it in order to prevent people that had differing issues from using the file. There is a firmware file that can fix the game I hear that if you request it from the support line they can send it to you. You need to download it to a jump drive and then boot the game with the jump drive attached. I had the green screen of death and believe it was because

I connected the power supply before all the other cables were hooked up first. The instructions tell you not to but the power switch hit my stomach as I was turning the game to read the back. Good luck and stay encouraged. Once the game is fixed it is WELL worth the extra delay!!!

Hello SpineTinglers!

-

What we are told at this time is that if you have the green screen appear on your console for more than 10 minutes, you should call Xbox Support. I understand that there is a long hold at this time, but they are your best go-to for steps on how to solve your issue.

Please elaborate on any solutions you have currently tried, and let us know if the problem persists. Be sure to check the other threads related to your issue too, so you can see what people have figured out.

I highly doubt they've helped anyone resolve their issue.  I'm sure if someone waited the abysmal amount of time to talk with someone and got a solution, it would've been posted by now.

TabeticGolem07, does this black screen occur while you are updating? If so, what percentage are you at when the black screen occurs?
