Gold membership

Just redeemed my Xbox live gold membership and it won't let me sign in. Any ideas why???

Often when you renew your membership to gold, and you sign in to LIVE as you normally do, it could take a little while for the LIVE server to synchronize and for this to take effect. However, you can speed up this process by choosing one of the following two solutions.

Test your connection

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller (Xbox button in the center of your controller).
  2. Go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
  3. Select Network Settings.
  4. Select Wired Network if you are prompted to do so.
  5. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
  6. Sign back in to LIVE.

Download Xbox LIVE profile

Press X to sign out of your profile.

  1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).
  2. Select Download Profile.
  3. Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
  4. Enter your Microsoft account password.
