gold membership not working???

went on amazon bought a 12 month card and activated it on xbox.com says i redeemed a 12 month and it says gold member next to my name....ok i get on my xbox and im silver but when i go to account on xbox it says gold membership under memberships....and when i pushed a on it gave me an error so i waited a lil restarted my xbox and still silver..went back to account this time it says cant lis memberships please try again later..what do i do ?

You can try this

Clear system cash

Remove your profile then downloading it again

if none of them work you will need to call xbox or talk to them

Ok i looked into this and this is what i found

If you see error code 8007000B when you’re trying to sign in to Xbox LIVE, it could mean one of several things:

Certain Xbox LIVE features aren’t available because of system maintenance or because of an unexpected Xbox LIVE issue.

Your console might not be connected to the Xbox LIVE service.

You might not have the necessary ports open on your network.

OG Torres, Jr: Since the Xbox 360 uses different ports than PCs & Macs ordinarily use, you can't see the effect of a port blockage except on the Xbox, for the NAT problem is really the blockage or misdirection of ports. A sequential power cycle is the first step in clearing a port problem, and the order and timing of the steps is important to success:

 
1) turn off the Xbox then
2) unplug power from the router (Some folks have a combination modem-router AKA 'gateway' or only use a modem with no router. If either, skip steps 3 & 6).
3) unplug power from the modem.
4) Wait at least 30 secs then replug the modem/gateway power.
5) Wait 'til the light on the front of the modem/gateway which says ONLINE, READY, CABLE or DSL is on solid (not flashing), then plug in the router. If you have a gateway instead of a modem and router or a modem with no router, then when that light says it's ready, skip to step 7.
6) Wait until the WiFi light on the router is on; you may not use WiFi, but it's still a good indicator your router is finished booting up.

OG Torres Jr: if you still can not access your LIVE Gold features, please head into the Sign In screen and select the option labeled "Download Profile."  Go through the steps there and it should get you all cleared up!

 STINNO77: you can check commerce.microsoft.com under your subscription history to see what's up with your membership.  If that doesn't help, please make a fresh threads, and we'll help you figure it out!

Thank you all for your suggestions and to the first person and last person who posted about redownloading my profile it worked..the thin im confused about is my profile was like 200mb i mean it was big and now its like 40kb weird..
