Gold family members on family plan randomly beening reverted to silver.

I don't know if this is a problem MS's end or mine, but I have had gold family members revert to silver accounts 4 times now. I know that neither I nor anyone else has removed them, nor have they been banned. I have just had to re-add them, but they have had to wait for me to be available to do it. So does anyone know if this is a known problem it am I over looking something? Thanks.

They might be "promoting" their accounts. That will remove them from the family pack.

If you contact live support, they can add an exception on the primary account so you can readd them before the 5 days finishs.

What do you mean by promoting?  I haven't had to wait 5 days to re add them, but it isn't odd for them to go 5 days without playing either.

Because they are secondary members, they are treated as child accounts. Some people chaff under that and "promote" the account from a child/secondary back to an adult account.

Generally, the timeframe for someone who has been removed is they can be readded in five days.

Ok. I see what you mean, but unless they did it by accident they say they didn't do it.  They have no other means of getting gold, so it's of no benefit for them to leave.

The only thing it would gain is making card/paypal purchases on their account and controlling their privacy settings.

Hey Covertdog! Can you tell me how often this happens? I know you say randomly, but has it occurred within a certain time period? Has each account only been knocked to Silver once, or is it happening to one account multiple times? Do you receive any notice or error codes when this happens or when trying to add them back into the plan? The more details the better! :)

Its happened twice to one account and once to the other two.  The first time was about 6 weeks ago with one account.  About 2 weeks after that another account and this last week 2 accounts at the same time.  There was no error codes or no notices.  Like I said before they could be added right back, but it is possible they could have been off for 5 days without anyone noticing.

I should add to that they weren't removed from My Family, just taken off as one of the gold members.
