Getting a new Xbox and losing all your save games

I just got the new 250gig Xbox and was transfering everything over to it and NONE of my saves are on there!! Im very far in these games and Do Not want to replay them from the beginning. How do I get these save games with out having to play them to completion on my old Xbox?

If you moved them with the transfer tool they'd all be there, so I'm assuming you're using a USB stick to move them?  You might have to choose MOVE instead of COPY, as some saves won't allow themselves to be copied.

Presently saves are not stored on Live, only locally on whatever memory device you have connected to your console.

To move them to your new 360 you will have to either use a transfer cable or compatible USB device Xbox 360 Hard Drive | Xbox 360 Memory Unit | Xbox 360 Content - Xbox.com.
