Your gamertag violated the code of conduct & you have been given a forced name change.

You are given a random gamertag when this happens. If you want to change it to a personal gamertag then you will have to pay like everyone else.

You may want to read the CoC before choosing your next gamertag,to many forced name changes will result in a ban.

Code of conduct can be found here : www.xbox.com/.../CodeOfConduct

Hello Fluffycub,

It sounds like you received a forced name change from the Enforcement Team. Meaning they deemed your previous tag offensive and changed it for you. Should you wish to change the tag they generated for you, you must pay for the change. Make sure you choose something rated E for everyone to avoid future action taken on your account.
