Gamertag

When I sign into xbox live on my PC the wrong gamertag appears. When I sign in on the console it is correct. How can this problem be fixed. I have signed in and out on the PC but keep getting the wrong gamertag and my history does not show.

Thanks for the help. Xbox still has my old email as the sign in. I used the new one and got the wrong gamertag

FizzyWinner838, you're stepping on the thread which is for the problem that TentativeElm46 opened with. These forums work best if you open your own thread for your own problem, because it can be very different than the problem TentativeElm46 has.

 

That being said, you probably made a typing mistake at xbox.com and it generated a brand new gamertag for you, thinking that's what you wanted. Let's go back to your Xbox and sign in, then from the Home hub go all the way to the right and choose Settings then Account.

 

From Account Management, go two clicks to the right and go into Account Security then pick Change Windows Live ID & tell it you _do_ have another email ready... and it will show you the Microsoft Account address for the gamertag on your Xbox.

 

Use _that_ email address and sign in at xbox.com and you will be pleased by the result. If not, please open a new conversation of your own in this forum and let us know.
