I am a long time Gold Member, and recently, I filed a case for the Xbox Investigation Team, to see if my account was tampered with. My account was locked down for about a month. I received an E-mail stating that there was no evidence found. I am not pleased with this outcome, and I am hoping I get a better answer on why nothing was found.
Before I filed, my gamertag was changed, and Microsoft points were purchased without my consent, and I know that it was not purchased on my xbox.
I managed to get my account back, but I can no longer go back to my old gamertag "RAZ VICIOUS"
I spoke to a customer service REP over the phone at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and she stated that once it is changed, you will not be able to go back to that name. Is that true? I heard and I am sure that Xbox can make my old gamertag return, I miss that Gamertag, it was apart of me, and I know it sounds cheesy, but It represented me. I do miss it, so I am hoping I get satisfactory answers to these questions.
