I have a Gamertag I'd like to switch, the problem is, I can't. Long story short, it's my uncles email on the account, and for reasons I won't delve into I no longer have contact with him. My XBox had been broken for quite awhile till I bought a new one. Luckily, I had my profile on a usb (it would have been impossible to recover it because I don't know the info), so I just plugged my usb in and logged However, when trying to add a 3 month I bought, I was requested to enter in more information (password) which I don't know. This also happens for other retail codes. I was pissed, because the tag was an alias of mine for a few years now, and it's a pretty great tag. However, I could add non-retail codes (48 Hours, 160 MSP, 100 MSP, etc.) so I put on 4 160 codes and 2 100 codes thinking I would be able to change my tag, but nope. I need to enter in more information. I tried calling XBox a few times, the reponses are usually "I'm sorry, but we can't help you. May I suggest you start a new account". The problem is that I can't provide them with the info on the email to prove I have it. I wish I could talk to someone, and prove I have it by messaging them on the account with whatever they want me to to prove it. Any ideas on getting help/bypassing the "need more info" page?
