Gamerscore Problem

Hi on my main account EVOMAN 356, my mate made the Gamerscore to the maximum, he said Microsoft can't detect this but i heard they reset you if they find out. Now I’m scared and i don't want to get resseted for something i didn't do. One day i was 3,000 Gamerscore and now he made it 25,500. Please fix this because i don't want to get resetted.

A reset is the only fix you will get.  If I were you I would make a new tag and if you had gold make your friend pay for new.  Once the reset is done, you will no longer be able to gain any achievements you had prior to the reset (legitimate or not).  Also, just to let you know that Microsoft can detect these changes.  All you need to do is check the date on your achievements.  If you scored a lot of achievements in one day, it means the score was cheated.

Basically, your "mate" is completely LYING to you.  Microsoft CAN and WILL detect gamerscore mods.  This includes your futile attempts at hiding your played game history.  Even though me, or any other Xbox Live user can not see it, Microsoft can see it, and they can see the modding done.

You keep mentioning "my mate made the.....", "......for something I didn't do", "....now he made it.....".   None of that matters.  It's YOUR ACCOUNT, not his.  It's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, not his.  You gave your friend access to your account.   You have to face the consequences.  And these are the consequences you WILL face:

About Gamerscore corrections

A gamerscore correction occurs on a player’s LIVE account when they gain achievements through avoiding game play and the use of external tools.  LIVE is committed to keeping the service free of this type of behavior as it violates the LIVE Terms of Use.  When abnormal achievement or gamerscore activity is found, LIVE modifies the gamerscore of players who meet specific and automated criteria.

A LIVE player who obtained their gamerscore in this abnormal way will

  • Find their gamerscore reset to zero, and
  • Be unable to regain all previously earned achievements, and
  • Be labelled as a “cheater” for the community to view.

While players who have been identified by these criteria will start from a zero gamerscore, they will still be able to gain achievements for future games.  In other words, we give them another chance to earn future achievements by earning them as other “fair” players do.  The original gamerscore correction will remain permanent without any way to appeal.

Zen Like Calm is correct Microsoft can and will detect that.  Even though you didn't do it you are responsible for your account, as your the only one who is allowed to use it.  For more information you can read the Xbox Live Terms of Use

I especially like the way he creates this new account to hide his own but then posts the name of his account.
