Fun games to play with my gf?

Me and my gf like to play games, well her not so much. The only one we really play is Mortal Kombat, She doesn't like to take the time to learn the controls so I was curious if there's any half decent games out there that we might both like. I heard good things about the LEGO games but that would bore me to death (no offense). I was thinking about getting MW3 for the new Chaos mode but it seems a bit silly to pay x amount just for 1 game mode and only on 4 maps. Any recommendations?

The LEGO games are very user friendly for casual gamers and would probably be a solid choice.  You can download some demos and try them with her and see how she likes them.  If things go well that might allow her to branch off into other things.  A buddy of mine did that and then his fiancee got into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the Uncharted franchise.

If your girlfriend is already enjoying Mortal Kombat though that's great, exceptional game that's easy to play and hard to master.

If your gf isn't really that in to games, then I don't think a FPS like MW3 would be a good choice.  There's a huge learning curve and it's hard to get use to the controls.  Maybe something simple like Castle Crasher would be a better choice.  There's also Minecraft, Plants VS Zombies, Feeding Frenzy 2,  You don't know Jack and Scene It are fun Trivia games.

If you need more action, Gears series, Halo series, F.E.A.R. 3 I really enjoyed the coop (not sure if it's split screen though)

No she likes Black Ops.... the mechanics of MW3 are a bit different so idk how she'd feel. But I'm open to more things. Mostly the mainstream games of each genre, Halo, CoD, Skyrim, Forza etc. I have the new Arm of Two but I know she wouldn't like it.

If this is only local multiplayer stuff then:

-RAYMAN: ORIGINS

-Trials: Evolution

-Scott Pilgrim vs The World

-Earth Defense Force: 2017 (Can't comment on the new one since I haven't played it)

-Rage

That's all the games that come to my mind, that haven't been mentioned yet.

My wife enjoys -

- Sonic and Sega All Star Racing

- Lips

- Lego Harry Potter (Or any other Lego game)

- Rayman Origins

- Fruit Ninja Kinect/Other light Kinect games.

- Arcade Board games, such as "Catan", "Carcassonne", "Quarrel", and "Bejeweled 3" style.

CoD etc, I'm playing more with friends.

Having said that, I know a couple that the wife is really into AC and Diablo, so it's really comes down to the person itself and what kind of games she enjoys... :)
