Frequent xbox live disconnection

I am having trouble connecting to xbox live. It frequently disconnects from xbox live and connects right back. It gets really annoying especially while playing a game like black ops. I can hardly finish full games.. What Country/State/Province do you live in? - Louisiana

Modem brand & model number: Charter communication U10C018

Router brand & model number: Belkin F5D9230-4

Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired - Wired

If Wireless, what type of encryption are you using? - using wired..

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? - using wired.

Things you have tried: I've tried both wired and wireless. I've also tried port forwarding. Though, I must admit I failed horribly at port forwarding. I opened NAT. And also tried using DMZ, but then my internet went out on my computer..

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown - yes

Is NAT Type Open? - Yes

Any Error Codes you encounter:

W:0000 - 000B

X:0000 - 000D

Y:20A8 - 4800

Z:0000 - 0000

ID:FFFF - FFFF

What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G? - Cable

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Charter Communications

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen? There is no message, because the live works. It just disconnects frequently and connects back after a minute or two.

Update: Error message.

Your DNS server can't resolve xbox server names.

There may be a problem with the routing tables used to find Xbox Live on the internet. This is usually a problem outside your home network. Inform your ISP.

Okay, have you tried ringing your ISP as well, to tell them about the issue & the steps you've tried so far?

I'm having the exact same problem. I get disconnected from Xbox Live, and when I try to sign back in I'm informed that it could not connect, and that I must check the connection. I check the connection, and everything connects just fine. But 20 minutes later I get disconnected again. It's making playing online quite difficult.
