Free Name change

my gamertag is Crooked27 which hasn't changed since its creation.  I was wondering if only newer accounts get a free name change or if its possible to be credited one.

The only way to change your Gamertag is through paying the 800MSP. At this time Microsoft does not allow free name changes. If it bothers you that much, a tip would be to try checking out Amazon first as they usually have some great deals on Microsoft points

If that is the name you were given when you first joined Xbox live and not selected by yourself, you should still have the name change option available to you for free of charge. After you have renamed it once after joining Live then it will be 800MSP to change it once again

Ok then, I'm sorry I was unaware of the time limit, In that case as stated it will cost you 800MSP if you are past the 30 day mark.
