Free Game (Only Advanced Replacement Orders - Disappointed)

I used the last £500 on my card to purchase my Xbox One which had the faulty drive

that wouldn't read any discs problem.

It is now under a normal repair as I couldn't use the 'Put a hold on £600' on your card method.

I'm very disappointed that the free game offer only seems to be applicable to advanced replacement

orders as I have the same problem as they have.

Not only do I have to wait longer to get my Xbox One back from repair but no free game for me

either, just seems very unfair.

Am I being greedy for wishing to be treated the same as others fortunate enough to have had a spare £600 available on their card? I still did have a useless day one console after all. :(

A rather sad wee bear. (Waiting patiently for his Xbox One to return from Germany to the UK)

Don't think they have started yet, but they are going to let users chose from one of 4 launch games including Forza, Ryse, Zoo Tycoon and  Dead Rising 3

Apparently some advanced replacement users have recieved an email from customer care stating this.

I have an Advanced Replacement on the way and heard about this so i went onto microsoft chat. The rep said that the free game is only for people with a faulty disc drive. I said it was ludicrous that you can compensate people differently when essentially we all have faulty xbox's on a day where we all forked out a lot of money and supported them. I kept pushing, but it was to no avail, he said all we will get is one month xbox live. He said he couldnt understand it either.

Hi again, just thought i would let you know that after leaving this site i Googled about the offer and found a recent article stating that it was for any fault where you've set up an advanced exchange

I spoke on chat to another rep and just said about it and used the link and she said i was correct, then she just verified my account and sent me a code for a free game. Keep going back everyone, even The Wee Bear, it seems they keep caving in, and so they should.

I'm in the same boat as the sad wee bear : ( Hopefully we'll get some sort of compensation with the return of a new console...

I'll give chat a go sometime thanks Forrest Gazump, so fed up now with no console, return speed not helped either by having to go all the way to Germany from the UK.

Just a heads up, it seems to differ from each support person you get. I had to try 5 people before one finally gave me my code for Dead Rising 3.  All I did was forward them an article from IGN about compensating games for faulty Xbox's and he said not a problem and gave me my choice of Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Ryse and Zoo Tycon

So, I am assuming this only applies to Microsoft exchanges?  They told me last Thursday night it would be faster to return it to the retailer. LOL!
