Family Center Reports

This was one of the main reasons I upgraded to the family membership and they haven't been working at all !

Are Microsoft intending to actually do anything about this ?

I am having the same problem. Microsoft have just replied to me after a month saying that they have investigated fully and cannot find the problem so they are closing the support case.

Again, I have tried XP and Win 7, IE 8 and IE9 with no luck.

For me, I can show data up until the end of March, but as soon as I get to the 1st April I get the "please try again later" message .

Sure. You may want to check out this thread forums.xbox.com/.../188691.aspx as several people on there have the same problem.

Basically, when you go to view the reports, whenever you look at the data you get the message

"Sorry we are unable to retrieve the activity data, please try again later."

For me, I can see all the data up to the end of March, in week view, list view and day view. The interesting part of it for me is the last week in march. This displays the first two days of April as well, but if I switch to click on the 2nd april (which i can see has actvitiy from the March week view) it comes up with the message. When I look at March, the days where there is activty are highlighted in black, but this does not happen for the dates when I switch to April.

As I have said, I have tried multiple browsers and multiple platforms and so I raised a fault call with Microsoft. Despite never being asked to carry out any other troubleshooting steps they have now told me that they will be closing the fault call as they have investigated as fully as they can. They will not give any indication whether or not they know what the problem is or when a fix might happen.

I (and clearly many others) took up this subscription for these reports and while it is frustrating not to be able to view them it is even more frustrating simply to be told "we have completed the investigation and are closing the case"

Sure, the call reference is 1155912402

Everyone I spoke to when I have rung in has been helpful and been sure there was something they could do to help until they read the case log. Once they have they all go very quiet and then say that everything has been done (although some have admitted that they cannot see the full log so dont know any details) and that nothing further is possible.

Hopefully you may be able to shed a little light on the subject - the current situation is very frustrating!

Hey mate, I did some rooting around, and it appears that the issue is currently under investigation. I'm sorry phone support was unable to share that info with you. Unfortunately I don't have the details of the case, but like I said, it is being looked into.

Hmm - I am not sure who verified this as an answer. I have rung phone support again today and they have confirmed that the case was closed on the 1st July and that no further investigation is taking place.

Obviously I cannot say what has gone on here - it is a puzzle why they insist that all investigation has been completed and that no further action will be taken while you see the issue as still being open. Either way, the reports are still failing and there is no answer as to what the problem is or when it will be fixed

Would it help to contact me directly to help work this out? My contact details are on the call log so you should be able to access them.

Hey mate, I believe what the phone agents are referring to is your case specifically. They may not have access to the same materials that we do, but from what we can see, the issue (at large) appears to be under investigation.
