Facebook app won't let me login - username & password are correct

Hello. When using the Facebook app on my Xbox, I cannot login. I enter the correct username and password and it complains that they are incorrect. However, I get an email from Facebook saying "It looks like someone used your Facebook account to log into Xbox LIVE (Friday, August 26, 2011 at 8:37pm)." so it must be authenticating with Facebook ok.

One thought is, are my Facebook security settings possibly in conflict with this app? I have set it to use HTTPS on the Facebook website for example.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks Eezak. Tried that just now. Deleted Facebook, cleared System Cache, re-downloaded, auto-downloaded update, logged in. Still says "The email or password you entered isn't valid" even though it's correct and I subsequently get an email from Facebook titled "Facebook login using Xbox LIVE" which says: "It looks like someone used your Facebook account to log into Xbox LIVE (Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 3:50pm)". So the username and password are correct.

Hmm, can you try recovering the Gamertag to the console that you're trying to log in with? And just for kicks, you may want to try temporarily slackening those security settings on Facebook, if only to see if you can connect fine then.

Thanks. I recovered my gamertag when I got the new console. I am pretty sure I had the same problem on another Xbox.

I have disabled Secure Browsing (HTTPS) in Facebook, and Login Approvals are not required. I still get emails from Facebook for every login from the Xbox, but the app says "The email or password you entered isn't valid". No other security settings that I can see that would affect anything.

SOLVED:

In Facebook -> Account -> Privacy Settings -> Apps and Websites -> Edit Settings.  Make sure that Platform Apps is turned on.

It didn't realize feature that this was needed for the Xbox 360 to access Facebook. I had gotten tired of Facebook webpage apps, so I had disabled it. Now I see "Xbox LIVE" listed as an app that I use.  I can leave Secure Browsing (i.e. HTTPS) on also. Thanks for your help guys.
