External Storage Support

While I am aware that the current ceiling for external drives is 2TB, I was wondering if the Xbox team would be considering raising that to 3TB now that WD has announced their next line of products..

This doesn't affect me directly, but just thought I'd put it out there for future reference in case others were thinking the same thing..

Hi Shuboxx,

not sure about the ceiling you mentioned - there are a number of larger drives - I was just looking at an 8TB Seagate they have just been talking about in the news recently.

The Xbox currently supports a maximum of 16TB of storage via one socket. (The minimum is 256GB, on a USB 3.0 drive). I have been told the max storage is 2 drives at 16TB plus the internal HDD's 500GB, so 32.5TB. This might change in the future with console updates!
