Ethernet port

So for some reason my Xbox 360 is not detecting my ethernet cable when it is clearly plugged in to the xbox and the modem. It says, "To use a wired internet connection, make sure your console is connected to both your console and your router or modem." I know it's not the cable because the cable works fine with my laptop. I've tried unplugging the modem and replugging it but none of that is working. Somebody please help, I would like to know if there is a solution or if I have to just send it back in.

Thank you

When you do the network test on your xbox, does it say "Netowrk: Connected"?

Note that after you power cycle the modem, you should wait about 1 minute for it to sync up with your ISP, then turn on the xbox.

Hi, if your Xbox cannot detect the cable and you've tried different cables and different ports on the router and modem then it sounds like your Xbox is faulty, please return to store under warranty or Microsoft
