Error Updating Avatar Clothes.

So every time I go to change my avatar it says I have to update my clothes, which it starts to do but stops right away and says,

"There was a problem changing your avatar's clothes.

Status code:80070005"

I left it alone at first, since everything worked fine. But now Red Dead released some new avatar awards which I can't access and I assume it stems from this problem. Anyone know how to fix it?

It's been happening for awhile and I've done both of those since then. :| Thanks though.

First, check your avatar items in the memory to see if any are marked as corrupt. If they are, delete them.

  1. Find/delete corrupt items: System Settings > Memory > [select storage device] > Avatar Items > [find corrupt item] > Delete
  2. Clear system cache: System Settings > Memory > Highlight HDD, press (Y) > Clear System Cache
  3. Restart the console
  4. Reload the Avatar Editor

If this doesn't help your issue, you can try to delete the Avatar Update Cache:

  1. Delete update cache: System Settings > Memory > [select storage device] > Games > Avatar Editor > Avatar Asset Refresh Cache > Delete
  2. Clear system cache: System Settings > Memory > Highlight HDD, press (Y) > Clear System Cache
  3. Restart the console
  4. Reload the Avatar Editor

Thanks, there wasn't anything corrupted, but I went through and did your second idea and it worked like a charm. Never would have thought to look under the Avatar Editor under games and delete the cache there. Nor did I realize there was a cache there :3

But when I came back it updated fine, now I wont have to sit and watch it try to re update every time I go in the editor.

Thank you very much.
