Error Status Report??????

OK so I tested the xbox live connection and got no warning message. Before I left I decided to check status report and it is flooded with codes.

I know people say the W X Y Z codes are always there but now i have those and ID FFFF-FFFF , L:0015-10F0, Q:0015-10F1, T:Wired,; A: ( my xbox ip address)/(gateway address) and G: (Similar to xbox ip address) and D: (internet ip address).

I have a ethernet cable connected to a Cisco wireless router and thats hooked up to a zyxel connected to computer. I know it sounds complex but it has worked for the last 2-3 years for all devices including xbox. No troubles apart from a NAT problem which was fixed.

I can't connect to my friends xbox live party or game is this because of this? And finally if there is something wrong how come no pop up came up when i tested my connection?

Thanks

Hey there Adam! Just to clarify, you are able to connect to LIVE, but you are unable to connect to a friend's parties, is that correct? Is he the only person you are unable to connect to, or are there others? If it is just him, my immediate thought would be that he has a NAT issue of some kind, and should take a look at our NAT guide (forums.xbox.com/.../34069.aspx). It might not be a bad idea to have your friend post here as well so we can make sure we're all on the same page. Thanks!

Hi thanks for the reply, yes it is only party and game invites. He has told me he checked and his NAT is also open. We're just curious why we can't join each other's parties or game invites but are able to with others. There is another friend on mine having similar problems. We are going to try later today and I'll reply thanks

Hey Adam, sorry to hear about the connection issues! I can see from your original post that you had addressed some NAT issues previously--I've seen a number of users whose network settings 'reset' after a recent update - on that note, it might not hurt to work through the steps you previously worked through again. Let us know how things go today! :-)

been a while since I've been here but things started acting up again. Same scenario it seems like it just fixes itself and might be down to the xbox side. We both have perfect connections and open Nats....I love my xbox but this problem keeps popping out every now and then and is really annoying.

Hey there Adam!
It sounds like your NAT changes from beeing Open to Moderate/Strict over time.

The Zyxel, is it a wireless accesspoint or a switch?

What is the make&model of your modem:
What is the make&model of your router:

Please make sure your routers firmware is up-to-date (visit manufactures website and see if there is a later version available then your current one).

Some NAT problems are subtle and don't appear in the Test Xbox Live Connection test. Most likely there's a port blocked... ports can be blocked in your router, modem, or at your ISP. Since the Xbox 360 uses different ports than PCs & Macs use, you can't see the effect of a port blockage except on the Xbox. A sequential power cycle is the first step in clearing a port blockage:

1) turn off the Xbox then

2) unplug the power from the router

3) unplug the power from the modem.

4) Wait at least 30 secs then replug the modem power.

5) Wait 'til the light on the front of the modem which says ONLINE, READY, CABLE or DSL is on solid (not flashing), then plug in the router.

6) Wait until the WiFi light on the router is on; you may or may not use WiFi, but it's still a good indicator your router is finished booting up.

7) Turn on the Xbox.
