Error code 831188fe

I cannot sign on to Xbox live. I contacted support and step by step deleted my profile, and cleared the system cache. I also updated all my proofs. The person I spoke with says I may have logged onto a friends Xbox who has the beta tile and that may have caused the issue I'm having. Deleting and reinstalling the profile didnt work. Any ideas? Thanks.

It seems like you have tried all the suggested solutions.

One question, can you log onto a friends console with your gamer tag? If so, it could be your console.

Check your email for an email about banned account? That could be another problem.

This is tough, hopefully it just starts working again soon. I have read around, and it seems other Xbox Live users just wait it out. Hope you can get it to work.

I deleted the profile and cleared the system cache several times and re downloaded my profile with no success. I was able to successfully log on to Xbox live on another console leading me to believe there is an internal fault in my console.

Sorry to hear about the profile troubles.

Have you tried downloading your profile to a different storage device on the affected console, such as a USB? If not, I would suggest doing so, as this will help isolate the issue. Here is our Xbox 360 Flash Drive support article if you have any questions on that.

Shoot, alright. 

Well I did a bit of digging, and it seems this error is telling us there is a problem with your Microsoft account in some fashion.

At this point I would suggest giving Phone Support a call, and have them look into your account.

I called phone support, they said acct info is good and told me I may have signed on to a beta console compromising my profile and to try the Xbox forum.

I also believe your Microsoft account is probably having some issues,  you should log into account.live.com and update your security proofs, under "edit security info"  its now required you have at least two VERIFIED proofs on your account, once you have two verified proofs (a phone or email address that you actually have access to is a proof)   you should sign into xbox.com and double check on the gamertag that is showing,  If correct gamertag is showing then clear cache3x and reboot console and redownload profile, if still not working contact phone support for instructions on deleting the most current update and redownloading the new update again.
