ERROR CODE 831188FE

I am having trouble signing on to my xbox live account on my console. I keep having to put in my username and password on the console and I get error code 831188FE. I have done what this website says to do in the case of this error code and it doesn't work. I have contacted Microsoft and was on the phone with them for an hour and a half and they made me do the same thing that the website was saying to do, which obviously wasn't working. They were supposed to get back to me already with support for this and they haven't. They are wasting my precious xbox gold subscription and have been completely unhelpful with this issue. Is there anything I can do to get my account to work again? I am typing in the Microsoft account email and password in correctly and I know that isn't the problem because it works on the xbox website. Also my hard drive isn't the issue because I've used other hard drives and consoles and still encounter this problem. So it remains clear to me that the problem is with Microsoft and my account. Is there anything else I can do besides creating a whole new account instead of waiting for them to finally decide to answer me?

Hi, I know you more than likely tried something similar to this already but move your profile to a USB flash drive if possible or delete it if not, IMPORTANT.....clear the system cache three times one after the other, power the console off and back on, download your profile, does that help any ?

Maybe you enabled two step verification? That would require you to generate an app password to use in place of your regular password. Please check out this link for steps on how to do this.
