error code 831188FE

Ive been getting this error for like 3 weeks now and Ive tried all the *** you guys told people to do like deleting your cache and etc., but none of that works. Its really annoying that I cant use XBL despite paying for it and hope to find a way to solve this problem.

For people searching who are trying to fix this. Delete your PROFILE ONLY and do the clear your cache jig, then sign into account.live.com with a couple devices (phone, ipod, laptop) and make sure to check "I use this device often" or whatever when you get a verification code to sign in. Then redownload your profile and it should work.

Hello Curious George i have looked into the error and found some solutions for you to try the steps are below if this does not resolve your issue replys back.
 

Problem

If you get the following error code when you’re trying to sign in to Xbox Live, there may be an issue with your Microsoft account or gamertag:

831188FE

Solution

Delete your gamertag, clear your cache, and recover your gamertag

  1. Unplug any accessories attached to your console, such as a headset, the Xbox 360 Chatpad, or the Kinect sensor.
  2. Delete your profile. For more information, see Download, move, or delete your Xbox 360 profile.
  3. Clear your system cache three times. See How to clear your Xbox 360 system cache.
  4. Recover your gamertag. For details, see Download, move, or delete your Xbox Live profile.
  5. Update your security proofs. See Add and update security proofs for your Microsoft account.
  6. Restart your console.
