hi i need help with error code 83118853

when i type it in it says:

Problem

You see the following error and message when you try to sign in to Xbox Live using a child account:

Before you can sign in here, you'll need to sign in at Xbox.com.

An adult will also need to sign in so they can give permission.

Code: 83118853

This means that the parent account must provide permission for each associated child account (under age 13) before the child can access Xbox Live.

i went to xbox.com and it asked me to sign in, it said to sign in to parent account to use account verification, so i did. it then told me did i want to allow my child to use microsoft account, i clicked yes. it took me to a page and told me to put in my credit card details, and it would charge me 50 cents to activate account. cents is United States money, so i changed the region to United Kingdom, but whenever i tried to activate my account, it takes me to the US version and tells me i must pay this charge. can anyone help?

I am having the same error. When I log into xbox.com as the child it prompts me to login as parent and I do. Then I get an error that there is a temporary problem with the service. My son is not happy.

Ugh having the same issue the past couple of days my son is mad luckily he can play with my profile but has to start the game over that's not good

I would recommend contacting the phone support in your region regarding this issue. They should be able to assist further in providing a resolution to you or escalating to the highest level of support so that we can get you all back up and gaming.

Have the same problem with my sons account....it even doesnt offer me the chance to pay...it shows ERROR 40101-[2]-f19636c6-e431-4f67-ab95-cdcf000e81af) So I cant do nothing really....

Can I bring his golden membership to my account (parents account) and he can play with my game tag? how could I do that? Could you transfer it????

My son gets the same thing.  We get a freakin game for XMAS and he can't even play it!!!  ARgh!!
