Error code 80190821??

I have been getting error code 80190821 after I try to resubscribe to xbl. This happens on 2 different credit cards and googling it doesn't help when the links are broken. What's the code mean? help me please :)

Hi there.

 

Sign into www.billing.microsoft.com and review your billing information for your xbox LIVE account. Do you have an outstanding balance which needs to be paid off? If you do then you will need to contact the xbox support line for your region to sort that out with them.

 

If you do not have an outstanding balance be sure that the cards you're trying to use are VISA verified and can be used for online subscription purchases.

Furthermore, there are a couple more things you can try:

 

  1. Clear the update cache on your xbox 360 system.
  2. Recover your xbox LIVE gamertag.

 

To clear the xbox 360 update cache follow these steps:

     

  1. Navigate to the "My xbox" slide on the dashboard.
  2. Scroll right, to the last page which is the "System Settings" page.
  3. Select "Memory" from the list of options.
  4. Highlight your hard drive and hit Y on your controller.
  5. Select the option to clear the update cache and perform maintenance on the memory unit.

I'm having the same problems. The suggestions above did not work at all. Still getting same error code on XBox and directly through xbox live.

You need to ring the bank/credit card company and tell them what you are trying to do.

Their computers are saying your credit card is being used in Luxemberg where as what is really happening is when you sign up for a gold account the billing information goes through Microsoft Luxemburg.

Let them know this and that you are allowing it and the problem should be cleared up... trying this myself right now so fingers crossed

Lost my card details so I have to wait a week or 2 for them to come though the post!

Ok, spent 2 hours on the phone to microsoft trying to work out this problem. There is a glitch in the system and microsoft in america have been informed and all the reports have been sent (apparently theres a lot of them). The problem is not currently solvable so you may as well give up trying until microsoft make an announcement of send you an email informing everyone that the problem is fixed. Could take a few days to a few years or it could be impossible.

All we can do is sit and wait until they find and fix the problem. Ive also suggested they make the gold family package available as a redeemable code that can be bought in the shops. The man on the phone at microsoft said it will be a great idea and was thinking the same thing and will put the idea forward to head office to see if that will help. Heres hoping for a redeemable code!
