Error Code: 4099-0000-3080-0509-8B05-0018

Not listed in the error code section of this website. Can't update my system and all of my profiles and downloaded games are corrupt. Any advice?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Xbox LIVE. You may want to try deleting and re-downloading your gamer profile, and clearing your system's cache in between. Here is a guide.

 

Deleting Your Profile:

  1. Go to Settings, and then select System.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select All Devices.
  4. Select Gamer Profiles.
  5. Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
  6. Select Delete.
  7. Select one of the following:
  • Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.

 

Clear System Cache

 

Downloading Your Profile:

1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the centre of your controller).

2. Select Download Profile.

    Note Not seeing Download Profile? Press X to sign out of your profile.

I did this suggestion and no progress.  I first started receiving this error this morning 12/2/13.

Solution for me that worked.  Wait a day and try again.  Not entirely sure why it only effected me but today I was able to update no problems.  Weird.
