Error 40A3-0000-3080-0300-D000-0185 during update Xb360 4gb S

Xbox 360 s 4GB (new)

Was working fine until about 3hours ago.

Xbox asking for update if accept I get the error

Error 40A3-0000-3080-0300-D000-0185

I have tried downloading to USB device and updating from this also I get the same error Error 40A3-0000-3080-0300-D000-0185

I am not able to sign in or download my profile to the xbox, it asks to apply the live update first.

Tried the test to xbox live.

This fails as the apply update box appear.

Have tried

  • format storage

  • reset network (wired and wireless)
  • reset to factory defaults
  • apply update from USB
  • remove all device
  • add USB for additional memory

Hi, could you try this. Go to settings /system/storage. Highlight your storage device and press the following buttons in sequence on your controller LB RB X LB RB X select yes on the next screen, the console will reboot and attempt to update again.

Bananas !!

I'm having the exact same problem. I also tried updating from USB and then discovered that my internal HD is not being recognized (when the updater said it needed an additional 190MB to install the update). The hard disk appears as unformatted in Settings-->System-->Storage and cannot be reformatted. I replaced the HD with one that is working in a second console, but that disk is also not recognized -- so I concluded that it isn't a disk hardware failure.

I also tried formatting a 16GB Kingston USB flash drive. After entering the serial number, the starts to format the drive, but when it's done, the drive still appears as "unformatted" in the Storage device list.

Question for Xbox support: I believe sporadic complaints are more likely to suggest random hardware failures, but is the number of related reports in recent weeks indicative of a software problem?

I don't think there is any update.  I think the storage is just messed up.

Bom..

-desligar o console.

-reiniciar o modem (10 segundos)

-retirar a unidade USB.

-ligar o modem (após os 10 segundos)

-ligar o xbox.
