editing payment option question???

Ok my sister bought me a 12month gold subscription last x-mas and under her card in my xbox. But she just recently just got a new credit card that is different from the card that has the 12month gold. So i am not sure what i should do, I did not get suspended or anything. I dont know if i should just leave here old card number in my xbox untill the 12month gold expires or should i edit the payment options and add the new card?

What should i do?

and if i edit the payment options. do i have to do anything els? Like contact support and what not?  This is the only card payment option that is in my xbox.

I am just not sure if i should edit the old credit card that has my 12month gold on it with the new credit card number.

If you want to continue using her card as a payment option, then you should edit your billing information to add the new card number.

Let me make this more clear,

My sister bought me a 12month gold subscription and she bought it with her credit card. But she just recentley got a new credit card with a new number. But my 12month subscription is still under her old credit card number. So i dont know if i should just keep useing my 12months with her old credit card number or should i edit the payment options and add her new credit card number? I did not get suspended from XBL i just dont know what i should do?

And if i do edeit the payment options, What do i do?

Do i just edit the old credit card number with the new card number and that is it? Or do i have to contact support and all that?

Smwutches,

I dont use her card to buy anything, It is only for my 12month subscription. I think i will still edit the old number with the new though.

All you should have to do is contact phone support and ask to turn off auto renewal. Once your LIVE time runs out, it will just revert back to a free account, allowing you to safely remove your sister's credit card. You can then add a new one, or use prepaid cards if you prefer.

you cannot remove a creditcard while on an active membership

as stated by smwutches you must wait till your account turns silver or not actively on the 12month membership

Nothing will happen to your subscription if you edit the payment option.

You would need to add a new valid payment method before removing the old one. If you call phone support to forcibly remove this payment method, it will cancel your LIVE subscription.

No, That is not what i want to do, Or trying to do!

My 12month subscription was bought with my sisters credit card, But she just recently got a new credit card. So the credit card that my 12month subscription is under is no longer in use. So my question is, Should i edit my payment options and add the new credit card info for my 12month live subscription? Because right now my 12month sunscription is under her old credit card that is no longer in use.

But i also have auto renuall OFF, But is it okay it i just continue to use my 12 months with the old card info in my xbox? I dont buy anything with it, It's only for my 12months gold. So should i just let it expire than change the card into with the new card?

Since you have auto-renewal turned off, then you can leave the old card info on there. It would only cause problems if you had auto-renewal turned on. After your subscription ends, you can completely remove the card. If you decide to make any purchases in the future, you would need to update the card's information.
