early charge for xbox live

my xbox subscription renews on the 27th of this month. i have 2 emails from xbox saying they were unable to charge my card and it is the 13th not the 27th. there are not ttwo dates t be aware of. your card should no t be charged until your renewal date and then if they charge you and it doesnt go through they should not renew your account. why would there be two dates. makes no sense. message on xbox said there was a problem with card. problem is  xbox is trying to charge it two weeks early. this happens every month.

The way renewal cycles work with Microsoft subscriptions is that when you create a Microsoft Account, the date that it's created is referred to as the Billing Date. Say I create my account on November 15th, and I purchase a 1 Month Gold subscription on November 20th. I'll be charged for the subscription right then and there, but if the Gold subscription renews on December 20th, my next bill won't process until January 15th.

What you're seeing is by-design.
