DNS Server can't resolve

I am trying to access Xbox Live through my wireless network from my mac.  I have my manual settings right with all of the information off of my computer and router that I double checked by running it on terminal.  I have unplugged my router and rebooted it multiple times.  Yet, every time I try to connect it still says my DNS server can't resolve the names of the Xbox Live servers.  I'm not even certain what this error means.  Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I don't know mac's but DNS failed with manual and correct DNS addresses would suggest a firewall is blocking the Xbox live ports or the connection is not being shared correctly

How do I know if it is a firewall blocking it?  There shouldn't be one but how would I go about checking to see if it was?
