DNS can't resolve xbox live server names

Hopefully someone can help I have been trying for two days to get connected to live. I can get to the point where it connects to the network then tests the Internet and it fails. I have tried setting static IP and DNS strings and it's the same thing. DHCP is enabled in my router and it's not blocking the MAC address and I have run out of ideas.

Ok after spending three days trying all the useless suggestions here and having nothing work, here is MY SOLUTION. If you don't have one lying around go out and buy a cheap NIC Card, install it in any open PCI slot you have in your computer. Start your pc, install drivers for NIC Card. Open Network and Sharing Center,Click on Manage Adapters Highlite both adapters then right click on either one and choose Bridge connection. Then run a short ethernet cable from your new NIC card to your XBox. Turn on XBox Test connection and Voila Problem Solved.
